Anyone done this section yet in redwood forest? (near lang on the mulitplayer map)

if so, is it worth doing? as I wondered about for a long time before finally giving up. I found the door which requires the 3 skulls (only found 1)

I've heard [heard mind you heh] that one can't get out again. I can't confirm that though.
