aye but this doesnt just affect archers sadly, pole armers were due for some love and friars.../sigh when will i ever be able to use Holy Staff without running out of end and missing 5 swings out of 10 cos some numbnut put a low to hit bonus on it :wij: coupled with a HIGH end use...ffs and it only does medium dmg... arrg i hate Mythic theyre all fucking numbnuts if this is true!! now i have to keep being an aggro magnet using boon which is a taunt and stupid idea in a grp which takes high purp mobs

Yes Mythic has confirmed that it is all true.

No big style review. Working as intended (or maybe not).

Working as intended = a poor design flaw we can't be arsed to fix?

We mean it to be like that, don't expect any changes until we hear enough whine.

I'd like to see where he got that info from though, not quite ready to jump on the 'IHateMythic' bandwagon until I know this is more than just one disgruntled players starting rumours.

Archeon this was meant as a bit of sarcasim. Mythic used the same excuse " working as intended" when Necros only needed one LOS and were hiding their pets in walls while they life tapped with impunity. Funny thing tho they nerfed em in a later patch. So I personally don't trust that statement from Mythic. So I stand by my comment "Working as intended = a poor design flaw we can't be arsed to fix?"

I stand by mine, being that all 'features' are working as intended until sombody whines about it enough. For example, the main problem with the Laxe line wasn't so much the damage it did as the fact that when end regan was indroduced to Midgard it allowed zerks to spam the styles with did the insane amounts of damage.

Rather than sort out the End regain to stop them doing this Mythic just went with the bitching about Laxe and gave it an uber-nerf (which they later reversed because zerks were bitching about how silly it was)

Same can be applied to practially every major nerf/line increase in the game. Can understand the confusion though. It probably would have read better as...

Have been waiting on the style review to sort out the hibernia spec line bleed chain and CD lvl 50 style Supernova that has needed balancing with the other realms since the game began.............not impressed if this means it's going to be overlooked again.

Read the latest Grab Bag on the Camelot Herald for details on what is actually happening regarding the style review...

Translation: we are going back to how we used to do it, which didn't work, which is why we decided on a style review in the first place.

Thats how it reads to me also.

The whole point of a Style Review was to assess ALL the realms various styles, chains, openings, dmg output tables etc and totally redo the whole style system to balance them once and for all (instead of nerfing one thing one month, then discovering they had fucked-up and then nerfing something else the next month to compensate (Read: LA/DF)).

The "lets do one thing this month, then something else to further unbalance things next month if enough people whine about it" approach is what got them into this mess in the first place and they constantly ignore the basic problems that have existed since release.

Sorry, but im still not impressed.
