ping with cable modem ?????

I am getting me a cable modem from blue yonder on 23rd jan

can anyone tell what sort of ping i can expect from quakeword and quake 3.

extra info incase needed to determin the answear.

live in birmingham uk
win 2000 os
and i will probably always us BW server or connect4free

Using NTL onto BW Q3 servers - getting between 25 and 40

Some others as high as 60 - 80, but lowest is 15 !

Yup, same sort of pings here with UT and Q3 on BW servers and several others with NTL. I'm in the North of England. Win 98.

Can also play on the NGI UT servers in Milan at between 60-80 so you'd probably get similar with Q3.

I got my cablemodem from blueyonder on friday. Ping to BW CS servers hovers around 30 but can climb to about 77

2 Modem Or Not 2 Modem

Hi TRONUS I all so hope 2 get a cable modem soon,Please let us know how it go's.I hope at £33 p/m its worth it ???.
