If i boot my pc up, half the time, the monitor doesnt 'spring' into action. To get it to do so i have to turn the power off on the psu then wait for a few seconds before turning it on then switching it on at the front!

Any ideas?

Sensible ones preferably... :(

I had a board that had it all disabled but it still did stuff like this until I updated the BIOS. Was my BE6-II I think.

Round up! Round up! Git chor Abit KT7A-RAID BIOS updates 'ere!

Make sure you install the correct one, though. You'll need to know if your motherboard is version 1.3 or earlier. There's a little label on the side of the ISA slot which will tell you. Your manual also tells you how to check the version.

more importantly - what's the monitor??

If it's something like an IIyama Vision Master Pro 451 then it's a known issue... if not then I'd look at it first as it's more than likely the primary cause...

(IIyama or LLama? only YOU decide :D)
