I've been wondering for a long time, and haven't been able to get a straight answer from anybody.

Can someone please tell me what the difference is between power and piety. How dows items with plus to piety and/or power effect you?

You smart guys here in BW must surely know;)

Not 100% sure but I'd guess from an Alb Cleric point of view where piety is used for healing, that...

Piety means less power is used per heal
Power means you have a larger yellow bar

Makes sense to me, but bet ya its wrong :)

I agrre with NxS but I think more Piety also means your spells do more damage (Runemasters / Spiritmasters / Thanes / Skalds) or heal more points (Clerics / Friars / Healers and Shamen)... not 100% sure though.

Small note : no hib class has any use for piety and Albion caster classes (Elementalists and Mages) use intelligence.

Each point of PIE gives an increase in the amount of power. It also effects the amount of damage done by spells - though note that it only effects damage spells (not heals, buffs or crowd-control spells).

Power is just direct power. Choose +PIE instead of +power until you hit your PIE cap.

compare PIETY with Constitution, and POWER with Hitpoints.

easy as that.

Hmm..I thought Charisma affects the damage that skalds do. Actually I'm quite sure about that ;).

i always thought charisma was a skald's piety - not just for damage

yup. Skalds use Charisma, as do (I think) minstrels...

As I understand it <insert disclaimer here> from an Albion point of view

Piety = Power (Clerics + Friars + Paladins)
Inteligence = Power (Casters)
Charisma = Power (Minstrils)

Therefore +Power items will work for all these classes.

It's just a generic enhancement for all magic users.
