weapon skill is based on the average of the two stats dex/str - people say celt because they have higher dex but

Celt
60+60=120 Base damage stat

Firbolg
90+40=130 Base damage stat

but probably just easier to go celt for quickness

And for a blunt/blades bm? I know firbs maybe the best option but they look ugly and big, and mad morph isnt perma so maybe will go for celt , the 30 stre points less at start can make a difference but as a celt i think will b easier to land side styles etc etc no?

I went elph for piercemisstress and really like it. Had some cracking 1v1's with her - However i do find that blade bm's have it slightly more comfortable with their choice of weapons. The ability to use Spear of Kings and Malice results in two nasty procs for the person on the recieving end [SoK one for example has cost me several muck around 1v1's against an equal rr blades bm because it absorbs so much dmg over time when it procs as often as it does!].

Before you make it, i'd first consider what it will be used for [solo or group] and what weapons you plan to use.

/edit; Also if you do this, look at the stats; factor in for example 93 quickness (buffs) and you'll see how much Quickness in a temp you will need to get. For example; i think my Elph needed 85 quick to cap or something. 10 Quick cap is easy to get which means i can continue to get extra caps else where at no expense to other areas! :)

Remember when picking pierce that you also have to spend double the RA points, because of needing both aug str and aug dex towards your dps where blade/blunt only need aug str

Overall Id say that the piercemaster has one great benefit over the others, really good styles for a 1 vs 1. Against that you have to stack the dual stats for dmg.

So if you wish to solo as well, Id vote pierce, if not then Id say blades/blunt. :)

i got an elf pierce bm and if i could respec to firbie blunt i would do so immediately.

the ra's are a problem but what i also hate is the off evade stun from Diamondback, in the blunt line they have an off parry move which has a 10-11 sec followup stun, combine that with your RR5 and your gonna get it easy!

Blunt has even better styles for 1v1, and since it's 10x easier making a blunt/blades template and you have access to malice that way I'd easily say Blunt/blades>pierce solo. Pierce is very cool tho :)

Disagree with most of you ...

If BMF was readily available then I would be back to Pierce in a second. using that last Pierce template you made for me Eredrin. Also I would go Elf aswell .. no doubt whatsoever.

But seeing as though it isnt .. i would say Firby Bluntmaster.
