Only good pierce templates ive seen sofar have been Filled with crazy expensive items and imo not that good , here is a quick attempt that im gonna use on my merc on Alb/pywd .

Flaws are crazy overcap on spirit resist , low+skill points and weak energy resist<u can gimp heat or cold on sc if u insist on capped energy> Also style damage aint capped .

Okok it suxx :p

Try with BMF and cap +CD at least tbh.

EDIT: Scalars also isn't that useful for a piercemaster imo.

Well from what ive been told Crush/Blunt aint the way to go as for a group bm it has the worst damage output , even on a merc with the anytime stun its not worth it as slash/thrust hit harder against most armor types<leather/plate> being the exception to the rule ofc .

I already have a Blades firb and i find Blades/Slash damage to be very effective with 400+ str and no augs , even with low mopain damage is impressive etc

Point is since i didnt make a piercemaster id like to try thrust damage on a merc , and lol aye i had an inkling Bladeshadow stats were wrong :s

dont use bladeshadow since it does spirit damage and any smart grp would run spirit resists

Ok ive broken the bank on this one , some hard items in this ... but note its made for a thrust merc <even tho its made around an elf bm :p>

U can save ureself alot of money/hassle making this if its for a piercemaster by dropping eoy neckie and using +5 str/dex cap gloves that drop from cata resist ring mob <Aminita or whatever> and changing sc accordingly.

if he only use CD styles +weapon time won't affect the dmg.

50CD/50Pierce/28Parry or 50DW/50Thrust/28Parry

This template gives 52 effective skill , it Has been proven that anything above 51 effective skill is useless , lol u critisize that and u dont even mention the stlong resists/uber overcap/effective capped melee bonus Celu <Invisabletank> u cheeky little shite ... make a better one :eek7:

Also ill be posting a not so good but cheaper template laters :p

You still get ws from +skill above 51. So you are saying that the ws you get from caps affects the dmg different than the ws gained from +skill?

Atm I get about 2 ws / 1 str(or dex)
and about 14 ws / 1 skill

So in that temp you would gain like 100 ws from caps and lose about 126 ws due to lack of +skill.

Not saying I know this stuff, just a little confused.

ur 50 DW/CD style will hit for crap if u dun cap +pierce/thrust as will since it uses that spec to calculate damage not the CD/DW line

Well a light tanks job in rvr is to do damage over time , sure maybe this spec will make someone hit for less , but it has nice resists , if this was a frontload char i would tend to agree , but take an enchanter for example , how many have capped +light , and still baseline nuke is main damage output as pbaoe is no longer <i win>

I think the benifits outweigh the downfalls , ws isnt everything in an assist train tbh , Nerf cold/heat/energy if u want more ws and less survivability :D

Then why spend all the plats to get some str/dex cap?;)

Can prolly make a lot cheaper temp with more hits and get the same ws (with max +skill and low caps)

ok mate you are a very capable template maker and i have to show u my runie one when u come in, ok back to bussiness. i had a quick look at ur first attempt and have a quick fix for it, if u were to get rid of the heavens ring and rep it with a cheaper "ring of tarka'oz" it will bring all ur +weapon skills up 2, gain 32hp's and also drop the not needed 6 spirit, u will also lose the +10 str cap but in because the ring gives +25 to both dex and str it will allow u to free up 2 spaces on the crafted item, one space to cap ur energy and the other for mebbe either quickness to bring it to cap or to CD to bring it to a higher lvl,

ne way mate i cba ready through the rest of the posts, so im guessin u might have found a remedy already, just thought i mention this sticking to the cheapness theme....ttyl
