picnic time!

well seeing as im on holiday for hmm 8 more days me and mr ez going off to the new forrest on saturday for a picnic (yaaaay!!)

going to have:

ceaser salad
southern coated chicken
ikkle melton mowbry pork pies (theyre tiny lol)
cheese/pate/ olives etc and stuff
and im going to attempt to make potato salad (it could all go wrong and we end up with cold mash a la mayonnasse)

hopefully it wont rain but if it does we're sodding going anyway and sit in the car cos i havent been to the woods all summer and i miss it lol, any hoo


what stuff do you take when you go a picnicin'? do yu take wine or soft drinks, fold up chairs and tables (all civilized like) or a blanket... or a bin liner lol and wheres your best spot to go?

when i go picnicin' D), usually get a bunch of fruit and some crisps and sometimes sarnies and breadsticks!! (i love breadsticks), and cloudy lemonade, along with my big fleecy blanket thing, and head up to 'the downs' and sit somewhere on the immense amount of green, usually near the ice cream man, and sit and lay down or chat for a while or just enjoy eachothers company, listen to some music and peoplewatch (the best activity ever), and depending who goes we might play frisbee or something, or fly a kite for a while (until it inevitably hits me in the face).

Cold pizza, sarnies, fruit, cold chicken, cold mini sausages etc.

As for where to go - all my picnics are usually in animal parks or w/e so we go to the .... wait for it.... picnic zone!

red wine, olives (lots of), peperoni, feta cheese, fresh onions, flat bread, carpaccio, spiced butter, shrimps.

...perfect.

when i go picinicking i just take other peoples picinick baskets along with my smaller companion

smarter than the average etc

never really been on a picnic but here is some things that you definitly need when going on one :

1. old school picnic basket

2. a picnic blanket (must be red and white, dont ask why)

3. food

i have always favoured water melon and its really nice when its hot and sunny
just remember to bring some paper towel of some sort to clean youself with

Hot Wings are also a nice idea since they are easy to eat and dosent take that long to prepare.

4. Drinks

Red or White wine, whatever you like, or even an indian pale ale perhaps ?

5. Location

in an open area with a pinch sunshine
