Pick up the damned drops

A bracer, a spear, a staff, a belt and a bow. I don't know if they were any good or not, but I'm sure there were people in the raiding party who would have liked to have them. Unfortunately, no member of the group that got the kill on Grand Chancellor Adremal could be bothered with the difficult and onerous task of walking over to the loot and picking it up, despite 180 seconds of multiple people pleading in the chat group, and with /y.

Letting that stuff decay on the ground and ignoring everyone who was begging you to pick it up was disrespectful to the whole group. Please, next time, be a little more considerate. Or just don't come along.

<begins to formulate plans and schemes to totally and utterly destroy any temptation to join the refuse of humanity that is a darkness falls prince raid once he get's high enough>

why is it that almost all df raids i hear about have shit like this happen? if it's not people screaming about who get's what in mbeo, it's people just stepping on others merely because theres something needed of them that doesn't directly benefit them in some immense way, or it's someone "stealing" drops etc....

i mean most people, if a dropped weap/item etc... fell that they didnt need, they'd pick it up and give it to someone who could make use of it anyway, now that's just even if your soloing, i know i do it, know a lot of other people who do it, but if your all in one raid TOGETHER! there should be even more of a reason too do so! surely!?

gonna stick to solo farming seals in there i think, safer on the sanity :)

P.S. before someone posts saying that DF has ruined the game because it's made all the nice people greedy/irritating etc... it hasnt, it's just brought out what those people are actually like

I just have one question:

If the group that could pick up those drops, didn't .. why did they go on the hunt?

/em wonders if anyone will be brave enough to say who was in that group.

Sigh

Don't know about anyone else, but there is not a Ranger in Hibernia who would not have liked that Bow. Its about the best dropped bow you can get, no match for a Merbos, TM bow but still pretty desirable.

Um... maybe when you do the mob again HE will be using the damn drops :p

Maybe that would be incentive enough to pick them up in future :)

I have one word why to pick em up:

/salvage

Let the money go to relic repairs, rams, crafters or whatever, I'm sure it's at least about a plat or so :p

Too bad for the loss

I was along on that raid at level 38 running a bubble.

Worked pretty good till we got teleported and I was separated from my guardian.

I really had a blast, but yes, not being able to pick up loot was somewhat frustrating. For certain there needs to be some sort of organization about that. I did try to grab anything I could to share out, which consited of coin and seals.

Thanks for having me along.

I was on that raid and recalled seeing those items drop on system msgs (although I technically quit I've popped on for the odd thing ;)).

I tried my hardest to pick up anything I saw on the ground but a few things made it very hard.

Firstly there were so many people the lag made it a nightmare to pick stuff up and keep up with the masses, dangerous to get caught by mobs down there!

Secondly it looked like 2-3 grps were mostly getting the kills in, for regular mobs who just dropped seals I saw the same people in the same grps picking the stuff up. Possibly some people gave up?

Personally I think in future it makes sense to stick around as long as possible to pick the stuff up and to not zerg to the next prince etc until we are sure it has been done.
The raids are a laugh for most of us, something different from the humdrum of xping/farming in DF but the real point is to get some nice stuff and see who gets lucky with it.

Something I would like to see on here is a post telling everyone how loot is distributed and why the system used is fair (as it can be anyway), too many questions in mbeo from people in a hurry, be patient and try to suspend the usual temptation to /yell and spam every chat channel, makes it a nightmare to arrange everything!

I usually have a chuckle at people foaming at the mouth going on about their legion drops, I think at 50 I have most of what I need to be getting on with, anything else is a bonus and if someone else wanted to nab stuff and say nothing then it's them who are diminished, I lose nothing.

So I'll be up for another one and maybe this time I can get to properly share out some seals, stacked in 50's?!?! Come on, that's a bitch to split :)

I'm not sure if I'm one of the ones you're characterizing as "foaming at the mouth" over drops. Just for the record, I have never even bothered to go to the loot split sessions after any DF raid I've been on, because I'm just not that bothered about having an uber bow or bracer or whatever. I go for the fun first, and whatever seals and coin my party earns second - weaponcrafting to 1000 is expensive work.

This post was just to whinge a little at whoever it was that killed the mob and left the loot on the ground when there were dozens of people present who could have used those items. They were obviously high level, to outdamage everyone else who was attacking the same mob to be awarded the kill. They were obviously not afk, since they actively attacked the mob. So why did they then ignore the loot - and ignore everyone who was there asking for it to picked up, for the full time it took the loot to decay? It was inconsiderate and disrespectful to the party as a whole to ignore everyone, and that's what I'm a bit peeved over. Not the loss of the UBER ITAMZ themselves.

I can see the point why ANYONE would bother with drops unless they were trinkets like Jewels, Necky's , bracers, rings or belts .. or UNLESS !! they were 100% qual items

rather get crafted .. works MUCH better

Not at all, I'm talking more about people who already have their items and are showing off :)

Can't tell you why someone didn't pick up the loot, was wondering it myself at the time but i didn't add my 2c worth to the yells calling for the loot to be picked up ;)

Yeah it's a shame, personally I think it's nice that DF has till recently been open for hibs to xp and farm seals in, aside from legion raids it's a good place to xp and get items that hopefully make getting to 50 that little bit quicker ;)
