ok the brief introduction of the coursework:

My aim is to find out if increasing the current, increases the strength of an electromagnet. - which it does

So, for my prediction i have put yes it does.......... but why does it?

Also i get mixed up between these terms so could one kind person please help me with these:

Control Variables

Dependant Variables

Independant Variables

Ok, first off; DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK.

The basic reason that an increase in current increases magnetism is that more power is available to line up the domains in the metal. More in alignment = a more powerful magnet.

Dependant variables are the things you are checking in the case you've given, the dependant variable is Electromagnetic strength (the units for which I can't remember for the life of me, possibly Gauss). The independant variable is the thing you are changing to affect the dependant variable. In the above example it's current. Control variables are things you keep constant. In the above example one would be voltage.

As usual school teaches you everything arse about face.

Things to remember.
1. A moving charged particle is what creates a magnetic field.
2. The rate of moving charged particles is the current (I=Q/t)
3. Magnetic fields are measured in Tesla.

And they say the nation's youth is going to pot.

Maybe the time that should have been spent on the homework was spent on pot and as such the homework ends up here.

I'm trying to write a paper on the effects of hyperglycaemia on expression of PEDF and bFGF in cultured endothelial cells but my control genes seem to be affected by glucose too, can anyone help?

Try treating with MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide)

You know schools aren't what they used to be when people start putting their homework on the BarrysWorld forums  :D
