Yeah I saw the Pilot about a year back, it was pretty funny. Not caught this but I'm not sure how much they could stretch the concept out and still be good a few episodes in. May give it a shot, may not though as I'm well behind on TV due to crunchtime.

Because the characters are spoofs of South London youths / young adults. The language is very very South London "street". You need to have spent time in Croydon and Sutton to appreciate some of the jokes about the towns.

It's like basing a sitcom in Manchester or Liverpool, I'm unlikely to understand local humour and slang.

She was doing a study on mobile phone stores and picked a chain called fonehouse. One of the franchisees called "H", could have been the model for the boss in PhoneShop. I could happily spend all day punching this guy in the face. Watch him for 5 minutes on 4OD and you'll see what I mean.
