Dont fall for that poor advertising ploy from Phonefree...
The catch is as follows..as with nearly all these free calls "providers/cowboys"
**Try to keep your local calls on evenings and on weekends to 10 minutes or less, and all of them will be free.
How many gamers do you know, that would want to reconnect every 10mins ..not me
These companies are the latest round in the pyramid marketing game..My advice is to steer clear..and wait for Flat rate calls which will be available very soon.

You could use VERY FREE. It gives you a telephone number located in near to your home town. I live in Portsmouth so I get a Portsmouth (01705) number ... local call.
However, on weekends Cable and Wireless are offering unlimited national calls for 50p ... that means you can use the telephone all day on weekends (or is it just Saturday) for a once only 50p. What I am getting at here is that VeryFree allows you to search for POP's outside your locality ... therefore you find on in say London or Scotland and then save tonnes of money if you use the phone a lot at the weekend
Plus if you are on a mobile with laptop you can get free mobile to land calls too
Just a tip ... VeryFree costs £11.99 per month. But as the pressure for free local calls mounts, a telco is bound to start offering off-peak local calls for free .. or even free local calls 24/7, someday soon ... it'll allow you to pay £11.99 and get decent ping times with TFC, Quake or whatever good game you are playing at night
