Now before the doo-gooders aka tohtori moan that its a contract and i should be prepared to see it out etc etc, I know but its not like that!

Im on an 18 month contract £30 + £5 internet option and im 5 months into it or something. It gives unlimited texts & 600 free mins + w995 when it first came out.

Anyway, im moving to Denmark on friday to stay for 9 months & ive just phoned orange up to see what my options are, because I know people who have been in a similar situation and they have spoken to their phone companies and sorted some deal out regarding their contract. They have said my only option is to get an extra £10 bundle which gives me 25% discount on phone calls, nothing with texts.

Now to me, this is stupid & surely other people are in a situation where they are moving abroad and have to pay for a contract which they cannot use because they are in another country. Id get paying £30 + Pay as you go really if I was to use it.

Was it just mohammed asif aktar on the phone who didnt know anything or is there anyway to get something out of the contract abroad.

Luckily for me my brother is after a new phone so i can switch the contract into his name etc

Hardly a do-gooder :p

Quite different from it actuallly, but here goes;

If you get into a contract, ofcourse you have to stick through (if no point of conteract is broken)

You can try and settle something, but they have no obligation.

Giving your phone contract to someone(like you do) is the smartest option; they pay you, no harm.

Some options. Suspend your contract. Ask them if they can hold it for the 9 months you are abroad and then resume when you get back. Another one would be see when you can change terms some times its after half sometimes after three quarters. Then you can maybe drop to 10 15 quid a month and pay it off or keep it rolling.
