Pets and Stealth a bad combo

Since the Hibs have been active i decided to sit at their pk and watch them camp their own Pk for a bit.
After making a few elf casters paranoid i saw Bubsy a Firbolg Bard and one i target often sit down at the base of the HPK.

I realy hate it when he does this as i cannot resist having a small pop to see if Pa does the job.
Anyway PA missed whcih annoyed the hell out of me to start with so i sprinted away and having avoided the arrows and spells you Hibs love to chuck around (Gratz i have my eye on you now )
I was rather annoyed to see a wolf charge me whilst i was in stealth.
This forced me with no end left to try and killit asap so i can leg it back to stealther land and try again....

my only comfort being i saw you coming and managed to avoid that awful PA you both have.

If it werent for the fact that pets can see through stealth i would be alive that day and killing either Bubsy Vai or Chezz......

Happens to me all the time and it's well annoying.You think you've got away, and then you turn the camera around and see the pet coming after you in the distance. You're pretty much screwed assuming the owner is following it, as you can't outrun it, it swims faster than you, you can't hide, and unless you're on the alb side of thid, there is no where to run to. I've tried getting aggro onto pets following by running close to the gobbos hib side, but I usually end up getting more on me than it . Is it actually a bug, or a 'feature'?? Before when infs could stay hidden, I didn't mind it too much as it was kind of a punishment for being stupid enough to pick a target you couldn't handle. Now being uncovered all the time, means all they need is one druid/enchanter/spiritmaster and I might as well not have a stealth skill anymore after I strike. I don't think I've ever survived after a pet is set on me, and what with albions utter lack of healers in thid, it's a long walk back :/

your best bet is to actually keep running unstealthed, sure you may have no endurance but thats ok, the pets gonna be a bluecon to you, so you wont need styles to kill it. if it happens to me i run about for about 2 mins and if the master hasn't called the pet back i apply a double snare to my weapons, so 1 snare WILL hit and just hit them. there we go, 1 min where they cant move at all run for another minute and your out of range, sorted

The pet itself isn't the real problem, it's the speed buffed enchanter + group following right behind the pet which is the problem Some of those hibbies will chase you forever in the search for the elusive rp

You point at Swords, you point in the distance, you begin dancing Lol you drewling savages are easy meat for my arrows. Now i just need to get 24 i won't see 10000 oranges and 1 yello. Gonna be 24 soon. Swords nice to see you keep an eye out for me. But got to warn you i can smell stealthers really everyone fu**s up his PA at me . Only stealthers that got me were 2 norse shadowblades they both did PA at me at the same time. No running like hell from that.

hehe so you think you can beat a blue con Underhill pet in Thidranki?

I know lvl 50 tanks who find it hard to beat my lvl 44 pet solo WITH endurance.

It all comes down to whether the pet has damage shield on it or not.

Just so you know, a pet will only chase a player so far, before auto-returning to it's caster/charmer. Think it's about the distance rquivilent to one and a half zones.

If a pet is in combat (i.e. about 10 seconds after hitting something) the enchanter and his party lose the speed buf, as the enchanter is deemed to be in combat.

So a little hint: if a pet is following you, DoT it, and try imbalancing poison as well, will slow the pet down.

Why did I say that? Cause I'm in a happy mood today I guess

A little tip from Anaphilaxis and co here.
Run with the pet chasing you unstealed to your respecitve Pk or the Ck if your a middie

The guards will kill the pet THEN they will automatically chase after the pets owner.

The most impressive thing about this is the fact the guards will chase the owner until either it or they are dead.
A group of hibs chasing you will be much more concerned with the Viking Jarl group running straight for them than the poxy sb who fucked up his PA and is running away for another go.

I (Silverfang) have to agree that those damn pets are a pain in the a**. OK, so you can run to a CK or PK but it's boring as hell since you gotta go all the way back to get in position again.

Vai you certainly like casting those PBAOE spells

I have never been killed by a pet as of yet. it is usually the army of Hibs that suddenly appear and mass gank me.
Next time i see you im sure you will knwo about it

yup Swords i would love to meet up with all you middies again in BG 2 and 3 but alas there never seems to be anyone there
its a shame really because its not much fun xp ing to 40 + so you can do something worth while in RvR ....where as BG 1,2,3 gives you a bit of playing fun while xp ing ....shame really but hope it changes .... VAI enchanter Proud Member of END/EFF
