Perfect RvR group/combo

Whats the perfect RvR combo in ur opinion for small skirmishes?

Me thinks:

1 Cleric (Saves hell of a downtime and love the smiting )
2 Sorc (No cc we dead)
3 wizzie (love the fire and the dmg buff)
4 minstrel (speed, mana batery, dd's, stun, mezz, all the extra's)
5 paladin (back up rez and shield/dmg chant)
6 paladin (back up rez and resist chant)
7 armsman (somebody must do the actual killing)
8 armsman (sie above)

note:

A stealthed friend (scout or infil) who already went ahead and is killing with u in the back ground is more then welcome, saves u alot of surprises and the dmg that they can do.... i can only dream about that.

A theurgist in stead of the wizzie might be ok too (pbt/ back up cc and pets) but the dmg that wizzies do seem more effective 2 me (sorry matts).

What I say comes from my knowledge of the BG's not real big boy RvR...

In Murd I always find the best groups are just scouts, occasionally its nice to have other stealther classes and the odd healer.

For ambushes though, an armsmen with a robe and a staff as bait and 7 eager scouts waiting all around him... :D

1 Cleric Smiting (Good damage, stuns, pbaoe mez and can rez)
2 Cleric Smiting (Good damage, stuns, pbaoe mez and can rez)
3 Sorcerer AE Mezz (Crowd Control, a Pet to have fun with, can do some dd as well)
4 Minstrel (Speed, Mezzes, Stuns)
5 Infiltrator (Can scout ahead, helps find shadowblades/nightshades/hunters/rangers, can take out casters when you attack)
6 Scout (Can do good damage, take out casters, scout ahead)
7 Theurgist (PBT, ae root, pets, dds)
8 Paladin (Can take a few hits and can rez)

Woulda put in a wizard but has no utility spells that aint already covered and smite clerics/theurgist/sorc/scout should do enough damage if you are mezzing them all and killing one by one...

If you have a huge force attacking you without cc

1 cleric
2 cleric
3 inf
4 minstrel
5 wizard
6 wizard
7 wizard
8 theurgist

wizards clerics ae nuke, inf tries to protect them from assasins, minstrel there to run away :p

Nah, that's what speedsong is for. :D Scouts only leech rp from gank squads. :p

Tis a terrible shame that most tanks dont even get a mention, there skills are not required in RvR except when lots of people are needed so the important ones dont get shot at...

Derric why the infil?
The only groups worth playing in vr are smite cleric/minstrel groups atm:)
covers absolutely everything you need to do...invulnerable to enemy assasins with chain armour and decent buffs, speed...2 kinds of mezz pbae and single target mezz...both classes have stun that can take the enemy out for a while...
The thing with casters isthey are great....but they an be killed sooo easy by enemy assassins..and since rvr is soo fast paced the infil would have to unstealth a lot....only thing you lack in that gorup is range....but with maybe 6-8 instas in a group and mach 5 not really necessary....

Because a group of infs and minstrels only can stealth and pick their fights. A group of minstrels and clerics is doomed as soon as they're outnumbered by a few. :D

actually personally I enjoy both groups :) just seem to get more rp's with the cleric/minstrel combo

Running gets you less rp than waiting for the big group to pass and pick of the ones that have fallen behind a bit. :p

When noone says it's the best, that doesn't mean it's completely useless...

Although many a tank claims they're completely useless every now and then. :rolleyes:

Personally, I love to see polearmsmen take enemy tanks down as fast as some enemy tanks can take me down. :D

But suddenly 5 lvl 50 trolls come bashing in. Inflis were so busy with the first dumb one that they didnt see the last one coming. What do you do know without tanks?

Since I don't think there isn't such a thing as a perfect RvR group. It all depends on the situation. I'm quite sure you'd want a group with some other classes when defending a keep than when cruising Emain.

A minstrel is a must in every occasion though. ;)

The one cleric 6 infils thing sucks :p Well, the infils might wub it, but the cleric tends to dies rather abruptly if a serious force is encountered ;)
