Had this a few times recently, im wandering around and come across 2 soloers fighting so i move away and leave them too it, but many times i find another stealther stood watching them, often an archer who im pretty sure hasn't seen me.

Now, should I leave this guy alone or attack? Usually i just leave him and wander off but it happens so often I wondered what peoples thoughts were on killing a spectator?

Attack, if he wasnt stealthed then fair enough. He's an archer so prolly waiting to jump in when both are on low rp :)

Do whatever you feel is the right thing to do.
But whatever you do, don´t try postulating definitions of unwritten rules for the situation, because people won´t agree anyways and will act as they see fit.

Im usally watching alot of fights from stealth and aslong as your solo your welcome to jump me anytime.
Most archers can also easily see you from stealths so they shouldn't really be that badly jumped. As long as peps respects the winners after the fight as in let them move away or atleast heal up it's okay.

I would attack. Nothing quite as nice as someone standing still when you open with an attack. Then once you kill him, kill the survivor from the duel.

Hmmm good question. Maybe you should suggest the DaoC-staff via rightnow to setup an application-form where people can ask wether or not they should even attack enemies in the frontier.
It's very nice that you leave a nice fight allone, but don't take it to the extreem way... .

Although, you would probably die in a few seconds.

I don't mind spectators at all, but sometimes it's hard to tell whether they're there with the enemy fg, or if they're adding, or whether they're there just to watch the fight.

Attack them ofcourse, you are already a nice git according to the "Bible of Duelers - How everything else is obsulete" for not adding on that fight, so why shouldn't u kill a guy stupid enough to just stand there and spectate.

I hereby apologise for my accidental adding into a duel on Tuesday night.

Having said that, I didn't actually cast a spell, and it was their choice to fight in a DD storm <grin>

I think it depends on many factors, but just play how you feel is right.
I personally might /beckon someone the first time and have an out of stealth duel (and if I lose, no /beckon the second time round :>) but if you are fighting a tank, the odds are already stacked against you and the element of surprise makes the fight turn a lot more in your favour. So tanks I would be tempted to try a PA (for 200, then get hit back for 500+).

Also if the person watching is low RR then I'd probably give them an easier time than if it was someone of higher RR. And if it's someone you know, I usually /point or something to make them know you are there, and if it's someone you don't like then go in for the kill! :>

I enjoy watching the fights at DC. I tend to stay stealthed though as I'm watching for Fatload or another adding type to spoil the duel.

What is wrong with a full-health-non-rezill-soloer attacking another full-health-non-rezill-soloer?

Would depend on who the person was, and if I don't know them, then on what their RR/class was.

If they plainly wouldn't stand a chance then i'd probably just let them be but make myself visible so they have a choice to beckon me if they are feeling brave.

However if I was watching a fight, i'd have no problem whatsoever if someone attacked me.
