Right how much performance gain can I expect from moving from a C300A @ 450 to a P3 550 or 600.

Is it worth it?

p3's overclock good

mine is a 450 @ 560

and it has sse instructions

which will kick a celly 600 to the ground.

could wait for the p3 selly thingys

Bollox and u know it, cuz we compared results from a near identical setup with me having a celly and u a PIII and who won again? Exactly

Mikey, wait a month right, and get a new celeron - these new ones are based on coppermines - essentially they ARE coppermines, but with only 128k of full speed on-die L2 cache opposed to 256 on the coppermine PIII's.

Overclockable as fuck - the 533's will do 800MHz

But yea, get a DDR geforce if u want a big boost right away - I had one and got huge gains Then I overclocked that aswell hehe If u want benchmarks on a 578 celeron, let me know and ill so some.
