Graham Norton sucks :<

Silly poo that sells his show by performing to a stereotype of 'gayness'.

By the way, you spelt the topic wrong (unless you meant to put pention not petition ;o)

OMG Graham Norton is gay??!!

He hides it so well.

(Typical Norton chat)

Guest : Yes well I've just found out I have brain cancer and I was visited by jesus last night.

Norton : Oh my hehe, did he insert one of these *pulls out huge orange dildo* into your anus you cheeky boy.

tbh Norton is unfunny. Just rude. When did being gay become acceptable anyway?

Gay has always been acceptable, just depends on youe own attitudes towards it.

After all Henry Winklers character in Happy Days was a closet homosexual, often walking around in leather gear, sure we saw him put his arms around women but never giving them a darn good rogering.

What?! Gay?! Noo..surely someone is doing a prank on norton. He can't be gay! He's so masculine and a real image of a real manly man. I mean, sure, Robin hood wore pantyhose but Graham can't be gay in no way or form.

Honest.

Oh fuck you.

Actually, that's interesting. I'm fine with homosexuals in general but I really, really cannot stand people like Julian Clary and Graham Norton who just go around being camp. It's just offensive; I think the question should be "When did it become acceptable for gay people to be more overtly flirtacious than heterosexual people?"

Good question... i never did mind gay people until they started hitting on me in the bars... thats like way annoying when you tell em to get lost and they wont... sometimes i really wish id be a violent person... then again... if i slap a gay dude around a bit im so gonna get accused about being homofobic or gayrasist or something like that... so what am i gonna do with em if they dont take a pollite no for an answer?

That's not particularly what I meant - I was referring to the way homosexual men are almost expected to act camply, whereas if a straight male spoke in innuendoes 24/7 with every woman he encountered, he'd get his ass kicked. (and rightly so; god knows I'd like to kick Graham Norton and Julian Clary about a bit, for making a living out of saying outrageous crap and making middleaged bints shriek with laughter)

Oops... i kinda read that "when did it became acceptable for gay people to be overtly flirtacious WITH heterosexual people"... my bad... but still... its quite annoying... as i bet its as annoying to females if some male just keeps harrassing em even if told not to...

Give them a polite kick in the groin? If you do it in a civilized and non violent manner then you're scotfree :D

Norton's entire career after Father Ted is basic soley on him being a slightly 'rude' camp light entertainer. Without the adapted practically Carry-On humour, he'd be nothing. But sadly as it is the drone public like his act enough that channel 4 play it to death god knows how many nights a week and still they still keep watching.

If anything it just shows how sexual repression is alive and kicking in the British general public, when a unfunny little man with Anne-Summers props and comedy that could be written by a 12 year old with issues and hardcore porn access, becomes popular prime time entertainment.

I don't like him much :p

what if it was lesibian instead of a gay bloke. people dont have a thing against gays, they have a thing against gay men.

Hmm, that's not what I meant (can't speak for the others of course). I meant that I dislike Graham Norton because he's making a living by comodifying his sexuality. It's like all the t.v. programs etc. that have a token gay guy/girl. Why should he make a living by being gay and acting up to a stereotype? I don't see any chat-shows that are centred solely around the fact that someone is straight ;o.

I really don't care if it's a lesbian or gay, although it must be significant that no lesbian has ever made a career out of rubbing it in everyone's face and making stupid faces.

Re: Pention

To get back to the topic in question, I have a government final salary scheme, costing 1.5% pre tax Salary, which will pay 2/3 of my final salary on retirement, plus a x2 AS lump sum plus some life inssurance benefits.

Good value for money but I am thinking about getting some long term savings going as I'm approaching my 30's.

Really good to hear the young thinking about the future these days, the earlier you start paying in Krypt the better off you will be when your 60+ and still playing DAoC.
