Penetrating arrow

Anybody who can tell me what it does ???

penetrates..... through bladeturn.. the higher value the more fully it penetrates.. works on all but the caster of the bladeturn so warden/runiethingeys/theurgmebobs

Penetrating Arrow 3 = 100% damage

It is an ability that penetrates bladeturn and does the damage listed above on targets that have not cast the bladeturn themselves. This means it doesn't work against casters' bt, before you start bitching.

Volley and Longshot however, in their current form, penetrate all bladeturn.

It only works on regular shots and (maybe) longshot. It does not work for volley anymore (in NF). (Which makes Volley basically useless.)

Tought penetrating arrow couldnt penetrate selfBT, only if you have gotten it casted on you from another person.

Yep, if you ain't got a volley assist working then they can keep casting the bubble over an over, that is why I keep telling people that archers need to work as a team when defending/attacking keeps.

Is there much change to Volley then? To date Ive had no problems with bubbles using volley at all, 2 sec redraw, 5 arrows does a lot of damage (200-500 per shot normally).

it wont by pass personal BT ie the one done by the casters, it will however depend on the level pass through PBT on everyone except the caster ie

It isn't as good thats for sure but combined with a high level of Falcons Eye it can still deal alot of damage. Made 140k with my scout on Gorre in 3 days mainly using volley at keep defence.

Or you hit the brittle guard, or you hit the <insert random pet name here>. And then you have mages complaining about archers!
