Penetrating Arrow III - help clarify please!

Ok 50 bow style Penetrating Arrow III chance to do 100% damage through BT.

Now when i quit many years ago all this penetrating BT stuff was just comng into the game so i missed out on what it was all about.

Am i correct in thinking that it only penetrates PBTs and bubbles round you from other players, thus saying it dosnt have a chance to go through a casters own personal Blade turn?

thats how i saw it all them years ago.

If im wrong then ill definately go 50 bow just for comedy chances of 1 shotting people.

you have a chance to penetrate BT... when you do you hit for 100% dmg.

BUT now mages have 3 brittle guards up. so its useless to even try and kill them.

35-50 specc in bow... the dmg gain is like 3-4% so its really no point to specc high in bow.

atm IF your lucky enough. you can 1 shot a mage that is sitting and you get a HUGE critical whit your dmg.

Sitting/standing still dosent make any difference on the critshot, or any other arrow damage, just melee.

Penetrating Arrow *ONLY* works on bubbles which are cast by someone else. So PBT for example. It will *NEVER* penetrate 'self BT'.

Depending on your level of Penetrating Arrow, you do a different amount of damage when you penetrate 'the other bubble' where P.Arrow III gives you the full 100% damage.

If you want to break the self-bubble, buy the RA 'Trueshot' - which gives you 1 shot to penetrate (and remove) self-BT and 50% increased range

I think its more likely the warlock didn't have BT up. I mean, bladeturn can't be chambered, it's not like you would expect them to know how to cast it.

Arrows And Bladeturn

All three Archers now receive a new skill called "Penetrating Arrow", which allow them to penetrate, to some extent, Bladeturn spells. Here's the details:

- Penetrating Arrow will never go through Bladeturns (both pulsing and single-target) on the character that cast the spell. This means that a Warden who casts a bladeturn on himself will never have his own personal bladeturn penetrated.

- Bladeturns cast on group/realm mates can be penetrated. So a Hero that has a pulsing bladeturn (or single target) on him from a friendly Warden can have that bladeturn penetrated.

- Archers receive Penetrating Arrow based on their specialization in their particular Bow skill. They get Penetrating Arrow 1 at 30th spec, Penetrating Arrow 2 at 40th spec, and Penetrating Arrow 3 at 50th spec. Lower levels of PA do less damage by not fully penetrating the bladeturn. The highest level of PA does normal damage.

- Additionally, Longshot and Volley penetrate ALL Bladeturns, regardless of who cast them.

If you two-shotted Wls, their BT was down.

Volley definetily doesn't pierce self-blade turn. It does pierce castable bladeturn, though, just like regular arrows.

Once came across a RR9 NS sitting at an Nged tower. I critshot followed by two quickshot II's - he dodged all three - wtf how you dodge an arrow sitting with your back turned. Bloody good ninja skills :worthy:

Penetrating Arrow III is bolx never works unless used on really low RR's in my experience. Tried 40 bow and 45 bow and I prefer 45 for quickshot II. Maybe at higher RR I'll try it again. But considering current situation and the changes incomming I think our melee sux.
