Pendragon like test server!

Has this been posted a squillion times allready? Dont care.

Would be sweet imo if Goa ever gave us a test server to test upcomming patches, and simply to test new specs before you dive into it and spend plats on respec stones. They could put it in German/French for all I care, as it would hardly matter. Ohh and /charcopy command would be esential btw..

There's already a test server; Gorre, but unfortunatly it's closed.
I think that they should have it open.

Imagine the fun of tracking down a group of enemy players rampaging through your backyard, makes defence of the realm actually mean something other than the useless yo-yo effect of the keep system.

a Pendragon type server on Eu servers would be uber. cos not only could we test stuff.. but we could also fight vs the best from the german/french servers excal albs vs avalon mids or summink. would be great to see
and also a GREAT help overall for everybody to test stuff

Anyone remember when there was a bug that allowed enemy bods stealth past the guards and into the homerealms. Certainly caused an uproar on Pryd / Alb when a certain archer got onto Salisbury Plains!

Gorre isnt open to testing as much as you think. Porbably 4 weeks max for us to test the future patches, and sometimes less. Unlike our US counterparts, we are testing for patch reliability, translations and general bug fixings so when the patch goes live its hopefully all working OK.

The patches sent by the US dont always work, dont askme why, they just dont. Sometimes it seems they dont even send GOA the right files, which is kinda dumb.

Making it too public means 10000 players getting on there to piss around in emain testing their 1337 ubor sk1llz and respec freely all day long till they get their spec for live servers right. Thats not what Gorre is for.

You want open beta try Ryzom, but Gorre should be kept closed IMO so the patch testing gets done as fast as possible to stop you lot whinging about it. Its not meant as a test bed for your personal gain.

Oh and yes this is very very old. Take some cheese and buy a US account if its that important to you!

Oh, well, then the server wouldn't be suitable to host 1000+ players anyway. The server is probably build to fit the amount of testers currently available, no more. I can't imagine them wasting money on a server that's only being used for what's described above.

No need to mess with Camlann...just give us a Euro co-op server as well . I know a lot of people who would really like a co-op server.

Yup, been waiting for that myself. Probably the only thing that would make me come back to DAoC now.
