Thought I would put this in here to get the maximum, umm... thread viewage possible. I didn't know it existed and I just did my system and got:

Well gee, I guess you'd better look harder and download the free one right above (or below) it. The one I used.

AMD Athlon XP 2000+
512MB DDR RAM
Abit KR7-A-RAID
4 x IBM Deskstar 60GXP 60gb
1 x Maxtor 25.'something'gb

I think that's all the relevant stuff... :)

They want me to download 8.6mb just to test 3 silly little things? Twats. Queued it anyway, I expect a score of roughly 1K on each. (fear my celeries, fuckwits!)

Thats on a

P3m 1200mhz
512Mb Ram
Geforce2go 32Mb
48Gb IBM 5400rpm HD
Intel Chipset...

I guess my HD score is so low is cos a) its only 5400rpm b) its on an ATA66 channel with the DVD Drive :/

Not bad though

When I get meh GF4 4600 I'll test my desktop :)

Would you mind using 3D Mark 2001. As it the most relevant for gamers. I dont give a f**k how fast my PC can run Excel  I care about how many FPS it can push through my swelling eyeballs :D

Agreed on that one actually . My 2001 score is 5000 btw , at 1024-768 32.

If you don't want to use the benchmark, then kindly get out of my thread. I didn't aim this specifically towards gamers, it's in the General section.

Personally, I prefer to use my own nokin to benchmark my system...

Does it feel slow?

Is MOHAA seeming to struggle on a good spec system?

Most of my 3DMark scores are 0 cos there were problems running the benchmarks. :(

Does playing mp3s have any effect on the tests?

I ran it, and 8.6mb for that seems a bit ... well, shit. All it did was tell me the system looked crap when using silly little numbers as a representation (What exactly do the stupid numbers mean?)

Anyway, I got about 900 in the first two tests, then gave up midway through the hard-drive tests.

Yeah, resulting in better performance ;)

What I found interesting was the CPU performance in comparison to Callous' Athlon XP2000. My P4 beat it although the XP2K is meant to be better.

RDRAM has higher bandwidth but DDR has lower latency.

I'm gonna run the test again when I next reboot Sar... A friend ran it on his 1900+ and got pretty disappointing results, and then he ran it after a reboot and it was much more impressive... :)

I'm with PR on this one. Benchmark scores seem to just provide nonsensical numbers (as Kez pointed out). If me games seem choppy its time for a new graphics card or CPU.
