£100= Radeon 9700 pro or a radeon 9800 pro if you can get at that price.
£130-150= Geforce 6600GT
£180-200=Geforce 6800 Non ultra.
£250-Geforce 6800GT.
£300-Geforce 6800 Ultra or Radeon 800XT.

Below £90= Raden 9550 or 9600 pro.

I highly recommend 6800 Non ultras for the best value and performance for the money.

Matt, I just bought myself a BFG 6800GT OC, planning to SLI a pair of them later in the year. Was going to get 2 non-ultras but I figured that a single 6800 GT for now and another when they are under £200 later in the year would be a better bet overall.

As for the original question, it is going to be very very hard to find anything remotely worthwhile that uses the PCI slot bud, not unless you meant to type PCI-E that is. The last generation of 3D PCI cards was about 4 years ago iirc so you won't find anything that is capable of running DAoC now really.

After a bit of searching it seems the Nvidia FX5700 PCI was the last 3D PCI card and that might actually be alright for running some games at lower resolutions. I will have a nosey around some of the bargain bins in the online retailers I use and post back with some info.

Hmmm nevermind me i realised it was PCI and not PCI-E :/ the 5700 chodax mentions should handle games at standard settings.

IGNORE MY POST ABOVE THIS ONE OR YOU WILL BUY WRONG PRODUCT IF YOU FOLLOW IT

Yeah the 6800GT's have gone down a lot, if you can manage to find one around £200 by all means buy it, i have one and they are extremely good cards but like chodax said could wait a bit or see if you can find one around that price.

Well I paid £270 inc VAT but it is the best 6800GT available and it comes pre-overclocked with a lifetime warranty so you get alot of bang for your buck.

Yep it should be almost identical, as for how it will perform I have no idea but it is definately the most powerful PCI card I can find.
