what cpu?

soz, read other post, not that this requires answering but anyhow

Average temperature of a A64 3200 should be no more than 50 degrees or so, and certainly shouldnt exceed 65 under load.

My 64 idles at 20 degrees and peaks at 32 or so under load, however I have really good cooling :)

Also depends on the type of core... There are several types of cores.
Code:
Clawhammer - [B]130nm[/B] - [I]89W[/I] - s754
Newcastle - [B]130nm[/B] - [I]89W[/I] - s754 & s939
Winchester - [B]90nm[/B] - [I]67W[/I] - s939
Venice - [B]90nm[/B] - [I]67W[/I] - s939
Manchester - [B]90nm[/B] - [I]67W[/I] - s939 (Very rare)
Orleans - [B]90nm[/B] - [I]62W[/I] - sAM2 (Very new)

Obviously the lower the wattage, the lower the temperature.
I've got a Clawhammer and it can reach up to 55 degrees full load with my Zalman CNPS7000-Cu running at 2400rpm

Download AMD CPUID if you want to know which core you got here:

It'll be a newcastle core probably, and either way, like i say it shouldn't exceed 65 degrees regardless of core under normal operation.
