The FBI recently had to un-encrpyt a alleged mafia loan-sharks computer files using a key logger to get his private PGP key, because they couldn't break his encrpytion. Use this link to look.

What security do you use? Encrpytion, firewalls, big dog sitting by the PC?

Personally, I can't be bothered, but I think I should start using it. Is there any point?

Firewalls are worth it because they're free and work well.

Encrpytion is also worth it if you send a lot of emails that are important or carry personal information.

Same here. Standard IE5.5 128-bit encryption, VirusScan and ZoneAlarm personal firewall.

Nothing extreme, 'cept my 12-bore shotgun I keep in a fake Dell case since TDC snuck in and nicked my M-21.

Nah if you want a true firewall get a router with built in firewall. Software ones are good but no way as good as hardware.

PGP is good for encryption.

I dont use any firewall on me cable...software ones are pants.
