Just to be different:
I used to read PCGaming World. Which, in my honest opinion, was the bollocks.
Then it disappeared and was replaced by the somewhat less good PC Gameplay.
However, that has improved lately so I'd recommend giving it a look.

I have stopped buying PC Gamer and PC Zone.

Too crap, but out of the 2 Zone is better.


These days I only buy PC Format.

I prefer PC gamer. read it long enough and you begin to understand the "insider" jokes! LOUGHBOROUGH!

anyway.

PCG also have much more indepth reviews and always have instresting side steps (snaps etc.) Although it costs more PCG is better than PCZ. PCZ always been pants (anyone remember the Brooker shit page...or rather dont...please)

Can identify with people within PCG and I find their reviews accurate.

I still get PC Format, they have apolicy of not reviewing games until they get a release copy, I got fed up buying games on the basis of a good review that turned out full of bugs because the "review" was speculative.

I also get PC Pro

I get all of them tbh . I like Zones less than politically correct posture but I trust PC gamers reviews more. When they say its a turkey it usually is.

Not much help but it really depends what you want from it. My advice is to buy all three next issue and see which one appeals before subscribing.

I don't know how consistent this is, but I've never read a bad magazine yet published by Future Publishing... PCGamer, PCFormat, T3, and... I forget the others, but they're really good.

I bought PCF for the first in ages on Monday.

Seemed like one big fucking advert for M$ tbh. On every other page they were espousing one great M$ gadget, software widget or another, even the two "free" books you got with it were nothing but M$ ads ffs.
