PC help needed....

My HDD is messed up, and to cut a long story short, I need to change my ActiveX security settings. Does anyone know how to? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Messed up in what way?

In IE:

Tools|Internet Options|Security

Choose Internet and set your activeX settings in a custom security level.

No not IE. It's the explorer activex controls. I've no idea how they work. Basically, when I try to do anything after I boot up (on my other HDD) a message comes up about activex security being too high, disabling all interaction between different programs. Well, that HDD has irretrievable bad clusters anyway, and it's still under warranty, so I'm sending it back.
