So ok, whats a good solution to be able to run DAoC with TOA client for RvR, run in fg's in SI area without loosing stick. Able to do FG vs FG fights in rvr without having my PC reboot, go on ML raids without shitloads of lag?

You're all making my head hurt!

If I were you, I'd save up a bit to buy an entirely new complete system... Perhaps a Dell orso after they'll get the core duo systems, where you'll have no hassle with installation or whatever. You probably won't do anything weird with your system like running Linux or so.

Hearing you now you'll probably use the computer till you can't do the things with it you want, and upgrading then might not be worth it anymore.
I'd like to think that if upgrading the PC costs more than the value of the PC in it's current state, it might be better to reconcider the upgrade and go for a new system...

Wouldn't that be same as putting Ferrari engine on Skoda? I bet Duron 1600 (66mhz bus speed :S) and 1Gb of ram is bottleneck even for GF4 serie and anything above just offers DX9 support.
i think you are putting too much on the bottleneck tbh,
you are spot on, you wont get the max performance from your card,
but what you havent factored in is that the Radeon 9800 pro has more raw power which is what counts in todays games as the majority of work is done by the gfx card aswell as supporting shader technology in dx10, which the GF4 does not. Dont get me wrong the GF4 will run daoc, but you will find it wont run the latest games on reasonable gfx.
Unfortunately i cant see a viable way of comparing the 2 on a dx 9/10 platform as 3d mark 06 (and 05 i think) both wont work with the GF4.

I have both, the GF4 now being relegated to my media pc and the Radeon in my second gaming rig.
But saw a significant difference with the 9800 pro on a AMD Athlon XP 1.6Ghz, 1Gb Crucial system. I'll get the full specs later for you if you want, but havent opened that pc up in a long time so i am not sure what i have in there anymore :)
