PBAE group [alb]

Hello all.

I must have a problem. I've been through to 50 the agonising way two times now, but still my need for xp lingers on. Somehow I seem to enjoy PVE to an almost disturbing level. Eek.

Anyway, I'm thinkin of setting up an albion PBAE group, built (hopefully) of dedicated, experienced, yet mature players. This will be built of the following...

2 Wizards (specced ice)
1 Theurgist (specced earth in part, possibly up to 2nd PBT)
1 Cleric (rejuv/enhance)
1 Minstrel
1 Friar
1 Armsman
1 Paladin

Haven't quite decided yet, but I will probably intend on taking the role of the Friar in the group.

We will xp as a group, and only as a group. Therefore careful timings when we are all available are essential. Of course it would benefitial if some members had the ability *cough* to run 2 accounts at the same time, incase one member has to depart urgently, and requires low maintenance (ie mincer/theurg).

Timing-wise, we would xp in the evenings, not every day as this is hard to stick by. Timings would be arranged with consent of everyone involved.

Although I may delete the wizard to make a sorc, so

Actually, I made an enchanter last night whilst Alchemying (What's the verb anyway?) and it is already so utterly overpowered it's unreal!

AOE dot really isnt going to do much in the time it takes 2 pbaoe wizards to kill something.

We'll see.

over the chrimbo hols i made an alb pryd pbae xp team. it was exactly the same group makeup as you posted there

we almost made it to 40 with 3 days /play before the group had to split- but let me tell you level 37+ was HELL. i hope 40+ pbae levelling in alb is easier!

We tried this with <Point Blank>. Made it to low 30s before most people quit . I'm still interested in this, though, so count me in. I have a lvl35 full ice wiz, lvl35 friar (18 rejuv) and a lvl21 full matter cabbie. Oh yeah and a lvl45 pally, if needed at higher levels

Albs just aren't used to pbaoe, the problem is that atm wiz pbaoe is not on par with other realms' pbaoe, so we never really use it. Sometimes you run into a wizz ice specced, but much much more less than a mana chanter

Ice isn't THAT different from mana PB...same damage, same radius and same spec lvls. Just 0.5s slower per cast.

Ice looks way cooler though.

there is nothing wrong with the ice pbaoe, its just drilled in to albs by other albs that it sux, the dd/snare is teh same as supp runies and thats useful, it may not do the same damage as the wizzie fire spec but its decent and u get the added bonus of pbaoe

also eggy u could do trees at like lv40 just get 1.5 or 2fg, if u chain pull xp should be good.
