Hmm...I don't really want to use my computer as a server as its on a shared network with other people and will kill their bandwidth. I really don't want to start hosting a peer-to-peer server for the rest of the world. I know very little about servers and webhosting to be honest - about as much as a particularly dense chimpanzee who has just passed his degree in Server Illiteracy.

Nah. Won't cause any issues. Thing is you have recordings I want to view. How do I see them is the problem? You can either upload the files to some remote server or I can pull them off your own computer. By putting on a home server you can allow just me- by giving me your ip address - to download off it. You won't upset anyone's bandwidth cos upload speed (the rate I can pull off your computer) is nothing to do with html download speed. You can set this up in probably 15 mins.

I have written about home servers here:

Home server setup for transferring files. - Home

Not hard to setup though might still be too confusing if you are not very competent with computer stuff. Then again you might be able to follow it ok. Give it a shot :).
