I've submitted this problem via Rightnow but would appreciate confirmation of whether it's just me or if other necros are similarly affected. The location is White Lights above Clifton.

Pathing problems in SI zone, Gwyddneau, loc 43498 30243
Since installing the 1.70 patch and also the toa_frontiers.exe NF patch, I am encountered pathing problems with both mobs (White Lights) and my necromancer pet at the above location. I have tested with another necro, on a different account, using the SI interface (SI_frontiers.exe installed and 1.70 patched) and experience the same problem. The necro pet will stop following me and randomly run to certain locations and be caught in an endless loop of running back and forth. When attacking mobs, the mobs veer off in a direction away from my pet (in a similar direction to where pet runs). Although this makes them easy to kill, because your necro pet doesn't get hit, this might be considered an exploit.
Problems caused by this are:
- Pet releasing because it is no longer within the required distance of the shade.
- Can't attack mobs effectively because the pet is too far away to command.
- Can't pick up loot because I'm incorporeal and pet is too far away.

You assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Sift.

Theres ALWAYS been major pathing problems in Gwyddneau - ever since SI release. This is nothing to do with 1.70 or the NF patch.

Thats half the reason white lights are used for PL, their bugged pathing makes it stupidly easy to kill them before they reach you.

The spawn I think you mean (high on cliffs rather than in valley) is the worst of the lot. Most of the bugged pathing means mobs take a longer route to reach you, at that spawn they can and do run around forever unable to get to you.

Mob pathing & pet pathing are the same thing: theyll use the same routes if theyre trying to travel between the same 2 points. For most classes it doesnt matter much: for necros its important. When your pet runs around like a headless chicken its difficult to do anything.

Theres no solution but a few workarounds:

1. Deal with it. Theres not many spots where it causes huge problems.
2. Pull from other side of the spawn. Mobs will still act strangely but from what I remember (its been a while) your pet wont.
3. Wait for Mythic to fix it. Theyve had almost 2 years so far, this isnt a realistic option

Thanks for the response Draylor. I've used this spot to level quite a few times and have never come across pathing issues of the extent that I've experienced today. I'll wait to see what comes back from Rightnow but I don't hold much hope.

Thanks and Regards,
Sift.
