It`s also said that dice are puting in a class system ie pilot, the pilot will only have a side arm and few grens, do you think it will stop the plane campers?

I read the forum, the pilot idea is not in the patch, it is just a suggestion a few people have made on the official forums.

whats wrong with pilots only to fly, if it stops the camping
engineers best suited to tanks hence the diabolical kar, they can repair there tanks they lay mines and well suited for the job.
so why not same for the pilot ? you dont need a thompson up there do you if push comes to shove, simple change class pick up a weapons pack job done.

Engineers maybe best suited to tank, however, they aren't the only ones who can drive them. More specialisation would mean that a vital part of the game, air reinforcements would be lost. Part of the beauty of planes is that they can reach anywhere on the map incredibly quickly. If the only person who could do so was a pilot bailing out and aiding def would be pointless, along with trying to capture a flag.

Reading the official boards it seems there are lots of stupid ideas like this one. Funny that you'd be the one who supports it.

well it will happen some time, someone will make a class base mod if you look at the classes now they partly there in a way.

They should have troop transport planes. Few guys pilot it and maybe 8 people get in the back or something. Kinda like the B52, only with people instead of bombs!!!!! Though I'm not sure it'd be useful on any current maps. They're all too small and easily traversed or something.

Having a pilot class which can do little else would not be sensible and would actually encourage plane camping.

People would still want to fly planes so they'd still spawn at hangers in pilot class. But when there is no plane they wont have the option (which they do now) to run off and do something else (as they're not equiped). They HAVE to wait for the plane or suicide/change class, it gives them a reason to camp.

Bad idea.

I think they should add a 'Cook' class. You spawn witha ladle of which you can do 2 things:

1) make soup and feed people which gives them a speed boost
2) beat the enemy to death with it

I've thought this through and i can't see any reason why it shouldn't be included.

The Axis can have a short ladle which is quicker to swing but takes longer to crush someones skull. The Allied ladle will be longer and cause more damage but will take longer to swing.

I have to totally disagree. Surely the Axis would use the longer handled ladle, given their preference for style compared to the Allied need for functionality.

I disagree.

All studies into WWII have shown that with the exception of Planes, Allied equipment was inferior to Axis, especially in the field. I think that the Axis would have light, effective reliable ladles, whereas the Allies would have had ladles prone to breaking down, (and causing spliggage injuries) although the Allies would have more ladles as they were better supplied.

Of course the Axis chef would have a large Bratwurst to hit his opponent with as well

The large Bratwurst is just an urban myth, and I wouldn't want to see a computer game condoning that sort of thing.

Well, there was a good flame on the official forums. Went along the lines of "Lets have a pilot class...then a tank driver class, artillery class, jeep class, ship class, submarine class, anti-air gunner class..."

Its an arcade style game, and the fact that people sit like idiots camping the planes doesn't mean the game should be patched to sort this.
