Patch day at last, and what do I get?

A bugged epic quest, so i cant do shit new wooohoooo.

Imagine being 6 years old.
Its Christmas eve, and the presents are packed under the tree, lots and lots of them.

Everyone else starts unpacking theirs, but just as you reach out to the biggest and shiniest one in the bunch, your dad grabs your arm and says "No no little friend, nothing for you tonight, you will have to wait for your presents untill tomorrow or possibly friday"

And when you look up at him, with tears forming in your eyes, and ask him "but why dad? All the other kids are unpacking their presents, and i know they wont share" he just shrugs and says " I dont know son, i think its a bug and there is nothing you can do!"


The ONE thing that I really really wanted today, was to get my epic armor. I've been thinking about that since it was implemented in the US, and now its finally here! But not for me

This has totally fucked up my day. Im sure it will be fixed sometime this week, but damn damn damn. I wanted it today.

And before anyone says DF, let me say this. Hibernia and Midgard - enjoy DF today, because from now on its gonna be an Alb dungeon. NEEEEEEEEERFFFFFFFFFFFFFF the ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRGGGGGG.

Ohh and "been there, seen that" on Gorre!

Maybe this will help, I had an even Worse day, Account Closed - Site bugs on my account - can't re open it = waiting for rightnow to tell me to get inet explorer6 ^^

and this all happen on the night before we get the patch, just my luck ^^

i think, most epics, you have to do in a group
or multiple groups

Myself (champ), Cuthaevan
Lavelle, Miss, Daigh (Bard)
Dorathnae (Enchanter)

plus a few others all got our epic armour yesterday in about 7 hours total. If you are slick I believe that you can cut AT LEAST 3 hours off this. There were a few inconsistencies with the website descriptions along the way. The most heart stopping of these was after killing the final mob the final NPC would not accept the moonstone (had to be given a horn first which we all had but thought was just loot!!)

At no time did we need more than one group.

The MOST dissapointing thing about the whole experience was that none of the skins for the above classes are in so nobody can tell we got it 8/.

This post was really to say thanks to eveyone that helped and to confirm that the epic armour for these classes is not bugged.

Try grouping?

All the final mobs are high purples, duh!

You need half of albion to get to the lord. And if you pull it from a distance it still brings a zillion adds.

We know you have to group to kill it, but still it's very very hard!

The hero/ranger/waren/eld epic is totally ridiculous

we did it all in a grp of 8, but 1 step you have to kill this leprechaun 8 times for all 8 to get quest, and repop time was about 30mins in between...... INFURIATING!

erk.. don't envy you Nicky.

The cleric/pally one wasn't too bad.. Had to kill Sister Blythe, which we managed to do okay in a group of 7.

My thanks go to Khalen who stood there and got hit lots, and to Second for constantly BTing him.

After 6 deaths yesterday of which 3 were server related lagfests I was not in any mood to contemplate anything other than swearing profusely and constantly punching my desk (This last tactic clearly had some benefit, cuz I felt better)

Assming he lives in the ruins...

Route 1: Kill a gazillion Tegs to regain faction with the Ellyls (Take you about a month chain pulling after being so unkind to them poor little fellas for so long ) This should reduce your inc aggro.

Route 2: Politely ask A CE member who has faction to invite him outside for a dance. (Err...what have i been smoking???)

Well, through sheer amazing luck, GOA has come through for me, and moved me to the next step of my quest. (or so they say in the email they sent me )

So for GOA and a service im very supprised to get.

Ill go hunt down the last mobs tonight.
