... if not why am i downloading a 16meg download whenever i try and run Si (when running normal Daoc it works fine)

someone help/explain

edit:: also had to download a new 'mythic updater' :/
edit edit:: ok, im pretty sure its updating to US version... im downloading craft_masterpiece.wav craft_success.wav and thats only in us version right?

You're downloading 1.61 from the US patch servers. Time to reinstall.

Several threads about this but the short answer is to edit your UPDATE.DAT to look like this :-

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat


Then run the game and it will re-patch back to the english version

THANK GOD im not the only person who gets this crap. I would be playing, then go linkdead and have to download a 17mb patch (on 56k i might add ), and as far as i could tell the only thing the patch did was brake shrouded isles.

I just uninstall SI, re-install SI, then download the 2.2mb patch. Its still annoying...
