patch = big troubles for me

sound is absolutely shaafted i mean i cant play this game now after the patch..........

the music is jittery the sound of firing freezes me up into laggyness wtf happened......

ive reinstalled drivers and DX9 and its a complete lagfest its not ping/packetloss lag its GFX lag i really dunno wtf has happened?!


sb1024 live on Xp2500 barton 1gb ddr333 ram and gf4 4200 that was running pretty damn fine before this patch

EVERYTHING off no textures not a touch of eye candy at all. absolutley wtf happened between patch and now??

Don't know whats happening with you, i realised i had turned of all textures for some reason (had been off for a week or 2 i think) so turned them all back on yesterday afternoon. It made no difference performance wise. Have you tried removing sound card from device manager and re-installing?

Bear in mind that the patch is downloaded in a compressed form (I think) and then extracted and applied to your installation by the patcher. It is quite possible, depemding on the state of your disc prior to the patch process, for the latest files to be fragmented after the patch, so I would suggest you run disk defragmenter and check there first. This cold be a cause of stuttering performance as your HDU read head makes multiple seeks for different parts of the same files on loading.

Of course, it may be something totally different

Try having a look there for any suggestions / fixes. Have a go at posting your DXDiag / msinfo see if you can get a response from one of the CSR's.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are experiencing many problems with the games, and there are a number of work arounds and / or fixes. Your best option is to goto the Tech Support boards and do a quick search or post your details - the only sure way to get some help.

I'm crashing a helluva lot, but that may just be my PC. Every so often (normally before 15 mins are up) I just crash, and my PC shuts down

hi, the thing that really PEEVES me is 2 days ago i was running this game on FULL everything it looked gorgeous, id look out for Lashers so i could watch the electic bolts wiggle arround on the floor where they hit.

my reccomened settings say run everything at 100% except one thing at medium (cant recall what) and at 32bit colour depth, which i never ever usually do cos i cant visually tell the difference tbh..

Now last night in a small 20 vs 20 type fight i TURNED EVERY SINGLE SETTING OFF and i couldnt even fucking walk!! and my music and sound are like theres a chainsaw in my speekers my mouse was aboout 1-2 seconds behind where i pointed it..

im going to swear again im that anoyed (fuckers)

Hehe GF4 Ti4200, have latest drivers etc, and it just shuts down.

I need to do a re-install of windows as my system has all sorts of shite installed on it, that's why it's majorly unstable. I'm not arsing about with graphics settings etc. I have no patience for that these days.

Sorry to piss you off more efour but the game runs a lot better for me since patch - faster, less slowdown, and everything ramped up to pretty much max in 1280 x 1024 resolution. I don't know what to suggest - did you install everything else and do you have the latest drivers?

What can I say... log in, can't see chat text. Respawn at AMS inside the AMS..
Go down to defend CC, everything goes black (old nice bug). The door to cc is bugged - YAY neet defence lol. I see a guy stabbing a door thats appears bugged to him, I however can walk through since it's open for me... see TR gunfire coming down through the ground, and walls. And then I crash to desktop.
Hours and hours of tremendous fun. My subscription ends in 4 days.

I get a hell of alot more lag now and crash every 20 mins or so, worked absolutely fine before cancelling sub and using cd's as coasters. If they actually fix the game then I will stay cause its what I want to play. To be frank the small bugs were annoying but at least the game was playable now many can't.

If the computor just shuts down u may want to check youre powersupply, thats a typical behaviour if you have to small or malfunctional powersupply. (it might be other stuff but wanted to give you a heads up)

where do people get off thinking its MY pc thats at fault here when its clearly the PS software. Its just rather amazing it fucked up under the SKYguard patch, then magically fixed itself in the Patch to fix the patch to fix the patch patch.

99% of time people start fuckign with their PC`s cos they think its hardware client side I KNOW this is software fault cos the DEV team are useless jerkoffs.

changing so many variables at once (DX9, GFX drivers, SB drivers etc) can create more problems.

computer software dosnt just break drivers dont just revert themselves etc. i dunno im shouting at myself here lol

All im saying is if it works, they patch it, its broke, you cry, they patch it, it works again then dont like me get in a panic about hardware drivers flux capacitors and what not
