Patch 1.48 at the end of June / 1st expension pack coming out

Check out DAoC europe's webpage, the news have been updated.

The 1.48 is announced (without promises0 for the end of June.

Also an announcement that an expansion pack is coming out... some day (read here for more)

I don't think that I am interested in the expansion pack myself, I still have too much to discover with the original version.

But I'm happy we at last have some kind of ETA for 1.48 !!!

Aye, as bitter as I am that it's another 6 weeks (totaling 3 months) till the patch I'm glad we've finally been told.

As to the 3 weeks of player-testing on Gorre... Part of me says 'no! give us it now!' but then I look at the travesty that has been Mythic's latest patch (1.50) and how that so easily could have been solved by some decent testing beforehand.

Mythic's tendency to fling patches out like there's no tomorrow (which is cool, but mibbe keep em on Pendragon for longer?) not only makes there more work for GOA to do but also makes them look bad for the time it takes to do the cautious thing.
