Why do the fucking hurt so much

because the cuts are usually around the fingers, and we have shitloads of sensitive nerves there

try papercut your leg and it isnt hurting nearly as bad

Because while it's a small wound, the paper usually isn't smooth so it's not like a scalpel cut(which doesn't hurt actually), but more like asphalt scrapes and when it's concentrated on a small area, the pain feels stronger then for example scraping your knee.

Try getting a "paper" cut with a beer mat, that burns like buggery!
