Just found out my gym is having a pancake fest tomorrow. I'm not sure it should be allowed.

Thin pancakes:

2 eggs, suggah, vanilla sugar(pref. homemade), cardamom, Milk and flower.....and a pinch of salt "a pinch!!! ;)

and ofc..use real butter...no substitute or planterine or olive oil or anyother smartass oil..
not this time....!

give them a good sweetness, and top off with the toppoing of your choice,

I can recommend a good cherry sirup alla

Thick pancakes are work of the devil.

Thin for the win.

so you like crepes, not pancakes?

I'm not French. Or American.

Oh dear, someone tried to be smart and got burned :D
No, thin pancakes are not called crepes unless your french,
just as football is called football and not soccer, unless your American.

It's anoying to see yanks and yank culture trying to superimpose it self on
European terms...

on a side note: /rant on
When watching American football I cringe each time I hear the commentator
saying "in danish" Nu skal de til at step up! or Han steppede virklig op der!
WTF is wrong with the term we already bloody have ???? "at træde til!

/rant off :D

In Finland we have two dishes, one is the "thin pancake"(which is not a pancake at all), fried on the pan as a circular yummy thing, then topped, rolled and eaten with haste. Crêpe is most likely the closest to this.

The other one is a oven-cooked pancake style thing(cut to squares). Basically fill an ovenpan(full square) with the goo, wait for a while, cut to squares, top and eat. Most likely closest to the term pancake.

Different as apples and pranges, so no comparison.

All you need for thin pancakes, or what we in Sweden just call pancakes is whipped cream and some nice strawberry jam.. :) And then you got the owen pancake with bacon.

I think I messed up the batter a bit though because the first one or two were um...well think porridge rofl but after that we were on a roll and had 2 bacon, cheese and tomatoe pancakes and one maple syrup one for afters.

This is most obviously the most boring solution. All that "I have a special thing to make that one food and wow it's Teflon® coated" is so unmanly :p

Do it like a man and use forged iron pans only* =)

My problem is the milk as well. Can't digest it very well, so I seldom have some at home and once you open a pack, well, gotta finish it :(

P.S.: *Yes, I use them for nearly everything. Pasta, sauce, meat, blanching vegetables etc. :p
