Yeah I forgot too, my mum came in and had gone out of her way to go and get some pancake making stuff! I don't go in for all those fancy chocolate/honey type pancakes though, just the traditional sugar and lemon juice, thank you very much.

Nath, yes :D Waiting for the next 6 series to come out on the fancy dvd sets, got 1, 2 and 3 so far. Also I've been watching Curb Your Enthusiasm on Paramount occasionally and Larry David is great in it. :)

i think i win....

the lights in the kitchen went out (seems i found dodgy wire...) so it was pure dark cooking arts style.

Then, we only had 1egg.... yet somehow to my mums amazement i got like 10 pancakes out of this. And shes a pro! ;)

I like Curb your Enthusiasm, but some times it's just far too cringeworthy to watch :). I've got the same DVD set you have, S1, 2 and 3 - managed to download all of season 4 but I need more :\

I remembered, but don't have milk, flour or eggs in the house (can't stand milk or eggs, and as a student what use is flour :) )

They had a bit on the North East news about pancakes yesterday lunchtime

Reporter: So when it comes to turning your pancake are you a flipper or a tosser?
Chef: I'm a tosser

Well you can't argue with that.

Looks like I'm the only one who's done it with style! :)

One type of savoury and two types of dessert pancake:

Savoury (by me!):
Chop up some onions (red and white), some garlic (3 cloves) and some mushrooms (button).

Fry the onions and garlic in a little olive oil. Add some lean beef steak mince and brown. Add the mushrooms.

Add sea salt, ground black pepper, various herbs that you like, some tabasco sauce, one beef stock cube and mix in.

Add half a bottle of red wine (a pinotage is a good un to cook with if you're fussy) and stew the stuff stirring regularly until the red wine is reduced down to bugger all.

Get yer pancakes and make fajita-style wraps and put them in a baking tray next to each other. Cover the middle with grated cheese (mature cheddar works) and them grill them until the cheese starts to brown.

Fucking great! :D

For your dessert stuff:

Lemon and sugar (rules!)

Tiny-tip Raspberry or (expensive) Strawberry jam and genuine Cornish Clotted Cream (teh daddi!)

Winner
