I'm a lvl 4 fighter right now (yay :)) and I have a paladin question so I'm hoping there are some 2H specced pallies here.

If I spec 2handed do I also need to spec slash? in other words : does speccing slash get my 2handed dmg up (assuming i use slashing 2handed weapons) ?

Speccing slash does not increase your max damage but it decreases your damage variance. Speccing 2h will increase your max damage.
Let's say that your max damage is 100 and your damage variance is 50. That means that each hit you will hit somewhere between 50 and 100. Now, when you train in slash your damage variance will decrease. So let's say that with each train your variance decreases with 2 that means that after 10 trains your damace variance will be 30. So each hit you will hit between 70 and 100 instead of 50 and 100.

That's the reason why it's recommended to also raise slash with 2h.

(Note that these numbers are just for illustration, the game works with percentages but I just wanted to keep it simple)

i would not recommend putting ne points in slash for the matter that slash will be autotrainen to minimum lvl so put it in 2handed, Chants and Parry

that is my oppinion

Well, it al depends on what you want to do with your char.
Since you are going 2h I suppose you are going for an RvR Paladin.
In that case it's better to let slash autotrain till your lvl 40 and then start putting points in it and keep your parry low since you will rarely parry an attack in RvR.
Also I wouldn't take chants only to lvl 45 so you have the last heal chant and you can use the rest of the points to raise your slash and if you have points left your parry.

A good final template would be
2-handed: 50
Slash: 29 (gives you amethyst slash should you ever use 1h)
Chants: 45 (gives last heal chant)
Parry: 21

Of course this is just my opinion so I'm not saying this is the template you should follow, it's just an example.
