Paladin Helm (Chant)

For the past two weeks (5 hours a day) a few of us have been camped out at the elly village in Penn where, we are told, there is this pally helm that adds +2 to chant that drops. All without success.

I've searched a few websites with item databases looking for a description of this helm to ensure it actually exists but can't find any mention of such a helm.

It's only the fact that my paladin friend has such faith that the thing does exist that we keep going back up there (well there's that and the drops too but he wants the damn helm goddamnit)

He says he's seen two other palas with it on. I'm starting to think he been taking to much acid or he's been licking a cornish toad and has imagined the whole thing.

Can anyone shed any light on this. Have you got a friend who has it? Has anyone seen it drop? If so is it dropped by elly guards/champs?

your wasting your time, +chants does f*** all, sanya said so on the herald. all +chant stuff is changed to +con/str over the next few patches.

It does exist, nice bit of equipment it is too

But, like Myshra says, it doesn't do bo-diddley for you. In fact none of the paladin chant bonus items do!

Since there is no variance in the chant spells, why would anyone want +chant items? + chant ties nicely with + piety on plate for dumbest boost; more piety is a stealth nerf to paladins

But like mentioned above, this does npthing with your stats

The helm is worth having for its armour factor (98) and a couple of other boosts that it gives you.

Lots of young paladins (level 30) have messaged me in the game to ask why they can't rez at 30, despite having (they think) chants 30. Always, as in -always-, it's the case they have chants boosting items. They're a complete waste of time and give no benefit to the user.

Incidental question here -- just *what* does piety do for Paladins?

I really love rezzing people. Sure its a gimpy, no power, kind of rez -- but, well, I just like being there to help you dead folks.

Actually, more pie = stealth nerf; rezzing doesn't require a set amount of power, it uses up a % based on the rez you use/your level versus the target player's level. Thusly, wearing items with + pie will force you to rest longer to regain your pie so you can rez again

and ghetto rezz should be for tanks, us mages like the ol 50% hp + 20% power one

He is on about the Kraggon Worm helmet for the +chants.....Aramus has a full set of Kraggon Worm from the Ellylls if you want to get all the stats. I have about 2 pieces, helmet and gaunts I think. Message me in game if ya like.
