Packet Loss whilst playing Daoc

AMD 2200xp (all drivers)
GF4 Ti4200 (all drivers)
kt3 333 motherboard (all drivers installed)
Directx 8.1
512mb DDR 333 Ram
Realtek Ethernet card
ISP - Ntl 512k

The problem i am getting is that when im playing the game, i get that red square over the Packet loss box. I have just got this pc and i dont know what it causing the problems.

On my old system, i had no problems with loss, so i decided to insert my old ethernet card but to no avail, still the same problem.

If anyone has any bright ideas, they will be really appreciated.

Run a traceroute to prydwen and see if its ISP related...

Prydwen ip: 193.252.123.13
Excalibur ip: 193.252.123.33

Also you might want to download DirectX 9 it might help (doubt it tho)

just ran the ping plotter program that you advised me on, im getting 100% packet loss!

When i uninstalled my current ethernet card and installed my old Netgear ethernet card, windows 2k picked it up. I was unable to browse the net, emails etc, why's this ?

lots of peeps have problems with NTL because the lay a crap cable your house. I know a few people who have got ntl to lay a higher quality cable and it has fixed the problem
