Apparently www.easynews.com is pretty good - they'll zip lots of individual files up for you so you can just pull down a large zip file. They only take visa/mastercard though and are more expensive than eurofeeds (6GB/$10).

Easynews is the highest quality service available but you do pay for it. The completness is incredible, and the retention is something in the realm of 30 days but you're paying about $10 for 6gbs (if I remember correctly).

http://www.suprnova.org/ <-- good listing for Torrents
http://btplusplus.sourceforge.net/ <-- very nice BT client

I've mainly used BT for TV shows and crap like that, stuff that should have been free, but for some reason i didn't catch it. Eg 24, I pay my licence fee, but always missed it. So I downloaded the TV Rips.

However, it could just be me, but I hate p2p. Getting anything larger that about 5megs is outright painful. Upstream being whored by everyone, generally uploading more than your getting, does my head in....

thus...

http://www.newsfeeds.com/ <-- fantastic high retention, cheap and bloody quick usenet access
http://www.usenetopia.com/ <-- very nice, if very memory greedy usenet app that allows usage of multiple servers. Combine newsfeeds (or whoever), plus your ISPs account, and you have 99.99% complete posts, plus next to unlimited downloads. Use your ISP for 80% (or whatever), and get newspro to auto complete the gaps. Result.

Actually, just to add. Was at my mates house, hes got an iPod loaded with mp3s (mainly usenet/soulseek), man it was amazing, the songs that you forgot you liked.

Times like that when you think that things like songs, tv etc should enter the public domain after a given (like not 70+ years like I think it is at the moment) period.

I'd just like to add, that anything I download I am using for personal use and that I have already bought a legal copy of before commencing my download. *cleared*

BCDC++,Soulseek and Bittorrent, I was using kazaalite up until a few days back, but one too many non working mp3s convinced me to finally bin it.
