FFS, stupid bugs, lost an entire post there.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I got hold of some old (and unique) photos of my town that noone had seen before, and did some before/after shots for our town's website.
The originals are between 30-40 years old.
The last one was the hardest to find. Only the cottages have been demolished, but with the 'modernisations' on the houses to the left, the scene is totally different. Its only around the corner from my house, but I drove past it loads of times before I recognised it.
I lined them up by taking a piccie of the computer monitor with the old image, and then flicking back/forth between the two to find the exact spot the original image had been taken. Old camera had a wider lens, so its not perfect.
Anyway, its interesting for me. If you have any old photos, give it a try, its quite good fun.
