hi
have you seen flametop's column
http://www.barrysworld.com/news/columns.asp?Author=38&Category=35

i have tried it and you can jump higher sometimes
but when you use the command,
your ping using tab is the same, but the lagometer
graph is fully lagged out.

so it is, in fact easier to jump without using cl_125hz 1.
note: this was playing online.
also if i reduce the scr size on the q3 - ctf (osp) servers the boarder has text saying cpm or something on it.

but when on the (osp) ffa server i have no text in the boarder , and cl_125hz is not a command
lol :)

Its likely that OSP's fiddling with the physics sample rate has broken the lag-o-meter. As far as I have found the cl_125hz setting seems to have no real effect on ping, packet loss or any other style of lag.

As for the 'when i reduce my sceen size..' etc, just dont do it :)

It's nothing to worry about, only a bug =]

The 125Hz code in OSP is used with permission from Alan "Strider" Kivlin who released the original standalone 125Hz Mod. In his notes he states the following:

BUGS
-==-

Currently there is one bug where the lagometer is screwed, it looks the same as it does when you are spectating and following someone in the game. I'll hopefully fix this soon.
