The user feedback we've received regarding the Origins server has been phenomenal. It’s apparent that Camelot fans have very strong and differing feelings regarding what core features would make Old Frontiers the best it could be for the widest variety of players and play styles. We agree with the players that it is important to get this right and that we only get one chance to do so.

Initially, we had an aggressive timetable we wanted to meet in order to get this into the players hands as soon as possible. Now, looking at all the feedback and re-examining our own internal goals and objectives for this server, we realize that it’s better to take a step back and take our time with Origins. What this means in practical terms is that you won’t be seeing Origins in the original Aug.-Sept. timeframe. When we are happier with the overall design and functionality, we will begin talking about a launch date. Until then, we thank everyone for participating during this phase of the Origins project.

How can they have the cheek to call it Origins when it has sodding ToA stat-stuff in it?!?
That just plain sucks.
Trust Mythic to screw something up by wanting to fix something which doesnt need fixing.

They started tinkering with it almost as soon as it was announced ;)

They're obviously so thick that they still havn't got the message yet that when people say they want the original DAoC experience they generally mean without any of teh crap which came after SI at the latest & the only things which need fixing if anything are the classes which were really overpowered at that time being toned down by maybe up to 10% not the 50% nerfs which Mythic somehow always blundered stupidly into.

Yes SBs & Zerkers needed toning down at that time by about 10%.
Yes archer classes being able to 1-shot people without losing stealth needed fixing.
Yes perma AoE CC needed fixing
But really that's about it if my memory serves me correctly (not that it usualyl does :p).

Well hopefully the delay will give them time to figure out what people actually want and not what the faglet jacobs hallucinated while trippin on lsd.

Bit dissapointing though but I kinda expected it. :p

What this means in practical terms is that we are worried that people playing on Origins and enjoying themselves won't line out pockets with WAR money. What we've decided to do instead is string them along until the WAR release date in the hope they don't descover a new MMPORG to play before we get ours out.

I just read the quote again Dej, what does Mythic mean? What is the correlation between Orginis Vaporware and Warhammer?
