Organised Gathering

Following a discussion in here, we've decided to do an organised game on Sunday 20th October at 9pm to try and revive the server levels of 1942.

The game will be Conquest FF (nothing like a bit of casual team mate fragging over assorted maps (we'll probably tinker with the map rotations using rcon if stability permits) and will either just be a pure pick-up, join as you can match, or if there is enough interest, people will split into organised teams.

If everyone who wants to play can congregate in #bwbf1942 prior to 9pm, a decision can be made if people want to split into organised teams, and if so, two channels made for them to organise themselves.

I may be along a little late - I'll make sure some people are there to organise things in my abscence.

Hmm - sorry to all the clan [G] people - didn't see your objection posts regarding time 'til it was too late.

We'll do another one very soon - or if you happen to finish you match early come and join us as soon as you can.

Of course, with the number of players you have, some must surely be free to carry on warming up on the BW servers with us while their friends picked for the squad play the match.

I've been panicking somewhat that, out of the 23ish players we have, not enough will turn up for this 12-a-side match. Giegh.

there were about 8 on server 2, and some others who joined #1, but whether they came to 2 or not i dunno.

Not as successful as it could be - but certainly some people playing I'd not seen before and I enjoyed myself when I finally made it there if only cos I got to shoot Yoni a lot

Part of the reason for poor numbers was a lack of clan [G] - silly buggers went and organised themselves a clan match at the same time - I'll double check timings with them for the next one.

Well do another this week and this time I'll make sure Im not late - my clans other game had its first match of a new season and it took no less than 2 decider maps to break the otherwise deadlock - nominal 40 min match turns into 1.5hrs+ - we won at least which is not bad considering some of us have not played the game since the '42 beta came out

In the mean time all idle in #bwbf1942 - we might do some more things on an impromptu basis if numbers permit!

It was a good game last night I enjoyed it although due to copious amounts of smoke I was in an "Ill run round with a rifle" kinda mood so I apologise to all those who got me as a booby prize on their side


Please lets do it more often and I pwomise I will try to keep mah head a little more clear heheheh

It is about time they advertised tbh, I don't fear for our future.....I just fear how long we will have to wait for it
