Didn't want to piggyback on all the good Orcs whines.

I was out last night questing on my little Inconnu sorceror, Caddis. Some of the quests took me to Caer Diogel.

The first thanks goes to the nice person (I have a horrible memory for names) who was porting out and gave me her Scorcher pet. I'd always meant to try to play with one, and never got round to it.

I then set off to find something to fight with it.

Anyone, came across the Orc camp, with a necro farming it. Asked him if he'd mind me watching and seeing how it was done. Seemed straightforward enough.

He had a infiltrator on his necro account he wanted levelling, so he invited me to take over, with the scorcher buffed by his cleric. So, I got to try out the orcs, and got about 2.5 bulbs and a backpack full of gem stacks and salvage items.

My second thanks goes to that person, who took me through the process, showed me what to do, and of course did all the healing and buffing! Think they were in Covenant of Zak (though as I say, my memory for names is poor).

All in all, a very good night. Fun, different (for me), and between that and easy quests, 46.75 - 48.9 in about 4 hours, at a relaxed pace (and yes, a free level in there).

The drama, one could make a good soap opera or two from those posts about everybody's and his mother experience at the Orc camp.

Keep 'em coming.

It would be a pretty crap soap opera though.

Soaps tend to be shit tho? So that'd make it a decent soap... Right?

I've never been there, I have no idea where it is, or why its such a good spot. All I know about it is, if you kill a certain mob in that area you will face angry people. Is there some "Leet Orc-place 101" to read somewhere ? :)

There is a good guide on the Necro VN boards.

Basically there is one mob (ogre squad leader) that you pull, and DONT kill - run off and let him deaggro, that will respawn 6 squads of 6 orcs (yellow con to 48). Each squad comes as a group.

Because you can force a spawn, and some classes can quickly take out 36 yellows (eg sorceror with a scorcher pet and buffbot), it's a good spot. I guess when I was doing it on Tuesday (for the first time), it was taking about 3-4 minutes per 36 yellows, including respawn time.
