Optimizing for DAOC

I've got my new pc at last and am soon to return to DAOC. I'm not to great with all the techno babble and was wondering what settings to have for the nice graphics of SI but also good performance/stability.

I am using a Radeon 9700 Pro with 1gb of ram.
