I'm sure you can get the ram cheaper. Thats about what I paid for 1 gig.

Why do you need a cd-rom and cd-rw?

Worth waiting a while for the 9800 xt to hit the market so other 9800 cards drop in price.

Where? And was it PC3200?
*Note, thats for 2x512mb incase you diddnt notice :)

Like Deadmanwalking says, to have a drive to copy from.

When are they coming out?

Much as I hate to push your budget up (even if just a little), might it be worth your while getting a DVD-ROM drive (only about £25) in place of your CD-ROM drive? Especially with your nForce2 motherboard and 5.1 speakers, playing DVD movies in surround sound might be quite good... :)

Maybe a dvd-r drive as well, instead of the cdr, yes theres a big difference in price but dvd-r will do dvds and cdr, Pioneer A06 is a spiffy one to get - www.bigpockets.co.uk

As I said, I'm hitting my budget, a few pounds I can stretch but the kind of money that I need to get a dvd-r is too much :( Besides, DVD-R disc's are expensive.

Agreed, a DVD-writer just isn't worth the money at the moment, especially if you're on a budget.

Besides, aren't they still debating over which format to use?

I have a black samsung CD-RW, mine was the same price from Microdirect and is a CD/DVD combi drive. Check it out.

Ah, thought you meant 2* 256 to make 512 total for the ram. I got cas 2.5 Giel ram with aluminium heatspreader (pc3200) for a little bit more from Microdirect again (on weekend specials).

Look at GNR monitors at ebuyer. They have the same warrenty as iiyama ones, but the comparitive model (by price) is a flat screen 19" with 0.25 dot pitch. From the reviews I have read for both its better than that budget offering from iiyama.

The Pioneer A06 does both formats. The discs aren't expensive when you consider how many cdr's you will use compared to the stuff you can fit on 1 dvd-r.
